Death of Christine Boisson what did the Emmanuelle actress die

Famous for having lent her features to Marie-Ange in the erotic film which became cult, Christine Boisson died this Monday at the age of 68.

Christine Boisson is dead. The actress who became famous at 17 after playing Marie-Ange in Emmanuelle by Just Jaeckin, was 68 years old. According to her daughter, Juliette Kowski, who announced the news, the actress died from lung disease. “She joined the stars and I would like her to be remembered with grace because she was a graceful actress,” Juliette Kowski told AFP, echoing The World.

Born in Salon-de-Provence on April 8, 1956, Christine Boisson began her career as a model in Catherine Harlé’s agency. It was precisely through this agency that she was noticed by the director ofEmmanuelle who offered him his very first film role in 1973. Initially multiplying naked roles, Christine Boisson subsequently made a radical turn in her career.

Around fifty films to his credit

After training at the Conservatoire for three years (1974-1977), Christine Boisson subsequently devoted herself to theater, clearly refusing roles that only took into account her appearance. The actress will still have appeared in around fifty films, directed by big names in cinema such as Claude Lelouch, Olivier Assayas, Philippe Garrel and Laetitia Masson. In recent years, she has notably toured in The Actresses’ Ball by Maïwenn.

About fifteen years ago, Christine Boisson tried to escape from the window. It was in 2010. At the time, she claimed to have been a victim of maternal incest. Since then, the actress has become rare. The “smoker’s disease”, according to her daughter, from which she suffered did not help anything.
