The President of the European Council Charles Michel condemned this Friday the Israeli fire against the UN force deployed in Lebanon (UNIFIL), describing them as “unacceptable”, in an interview with AFP. “An attack on a United Nations peacekeeping mission is irresponsible, unacceptable, and that is why we call on Israel and all parties to fully respect international humanitarian law,” the leader said, on the sidelines of a summit of Southeast Asian countries in Laos.

Israeli army says it killed Islamic Jihad leader from Nour Shams camp in West Bank
The Israeli army announced Friday that it had killed the leader of Islamic Jihad from the Nour Shams Palestinian refugee camp in Tulkarem, in the West Bank, the day before. “A plane struck the Tulkarem area and eliminated Mohammed Abdullah, leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist network in Nour Shams,” the army said in a statement, which also claimed to have killed another fighter.
