At 11 o’clock on Sunday, a private person saw a lifeless person in the water outside Kvicksund, and raised the alarm. Emergency services, ambulance and police arrived at the scene, and got the person out of the water.
The police were able to ascertain that it was a woman in her 50s, who was deceased. The woman’s next of kin have been notified.
The woman will undergo a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
– We also hold interviews with people who may have information. We have started a police death investigation. It does not mean that a crime has been committed, but it cannot be ruled out either, says Jonas Eronen, press spokesperson for the police in the central region.
