SOS Alarm received the alarm just after half past eight on Thursday morning after a person discovered the orca just south of Hunnebostrand in Sotenäs municipality.
The killer whale, which is about four meters, is stuck on a jetty in a marina. It is currently unclear exactly what will happen to the dead animal.
“When it’s an animal as rare as an orca, we contact the National Museum of Natural History, which decides what should happen to it,” says Caroline Karlsson, press spokesperson in the West police region.
