The next survivor of Dead by Daylight will be Lara Croft. The famous archaeologist travels to the world of the Entity – and has to fight for her life.

Although Dead by Daylight is now entering its ninth year, the horror game is still doing great. The number of players on Steam is stable and new content for next year has already been announced. The company has been able to secure more and more strong licenses, most recently Dungeons & Dragons – and now Tomb Raider.

Lara Croft becomes the next survivor in Dead by Daylight.

Who is Lara Croft? Lara Croft is the protagonist of the famous “Tomb Raider” series. As an archaeologist and adventurer, she travels to remote places and discovers forgotten civilizations and temples full of deadly traps.

Since things usually happen a little supernatural there, for example when old gods are angered, Lara should be familiar enough with such creatures to be able to survive in the entity’s world for at least a while.

What can Lara Croft do? Like all survivors, Lara Croft comes with three unique perks that are exclusive to her at the start, but can later be unlocked for other survivors. Her perks are:

  • Finesse: This perk is activated while you are healthy. You perform quick jumps over windows and pallets 20% faster. After that, the perk has a cooldown of 40 / 35 / 30 seconds.
  • Hardened: After opening a chest, purifying a totem, or blessing it, this perk activates. If you would scream, reveal the Killer’s aura for 3 / 4 / 5 seconds instead.
  • Specialists: Each time you open or search a chest, gain 1 badge, up to a maximum of 3. When you make a great skill check on a generator, consume all badges. Each badge consumed reduces the maximum necessary progress of that generator by 2 / 3 / 4 (exact values ​​still unknown).

    • When can you play Lara Croft? Lara Croft will be available as DLC from July 16th and can then be used in the game. However, she will be playable on the PTB (“test server”) of Dead by Daylight beforehand, so you can get a first look at her perks and appearance in the game.

    Since this is only a survivor chapter, only Lara is included – there is no new killer. But the newest killer, Vecna, is not that old anyway and many are just getting used to being able to compete against this powerful magician.
