De Ronde Venen has decided not to install solar fields itself but to outsource this to commercial parties. These companies have received frameworks from the municipal council, for example about what the participation process must meet.
The Norwegian company Statkraft is investigating whether solar panels can be located in the meadow on the Poeldijk and will then install them. The company also does this for a field near Wilnis. Statkraft has offices in Amsterdam and Den Bosch in the Netherlands.
