Of the 1500 pieces, a thousand will be in the municipality of Utrecht, the rest in Houten, IJsselstein, Rhenen, Wijk bij Duurstede, Eemnes, Bunnik, Nieuwegein, Stichtse Vecht, Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Montfoort. Whether those new homes are well received in every municipality? “With every new housing project, there are residents who do not fully agree with it,” says deputy Rob van Muilekom. “But we hope that people realize: this is really important to solve the housing shortage in our province. We are going to build at a rapid pace.”
