The marital status of the “mother” of the Misses is Genevieve Suzanne Marie-Therese Mulmann. She derives this particle from her deceased ex-husband, Louis Poirot. Indeed, Poirot de Fontenay was his pseudonym of resistant during the occupation. Although this name no longer appears on the birth certificates of the family, Geneviève de Fontenay succeeded in obtaining authorization from the Keeper of the Seals in 2006 to keep this surname and to be able to sign “Poirot de Fontenay”.
