The municipalities of De Bilt and Leusden are both going to remove a residential area from the gas. Both municipalities will receive a subsidy of about four million euros from the National Scheme for Living Labs for Natural Gas-Free Districts. This makes them the second and third municipality in the province to become testing grounds. The Overvecht district in the municipality of Utrecht was the first.
