Dazzlingly superior Kerttu Niskanen for moving jobs lifes big

On Saturday, in the SC skiing in Äänekoski, it was the turn of the pursuit races with traditional skiing. The women started the 10-kilometer distance with the differences that had arisen during the five-kilometer freestyle skiing distance on Friday.

Kerttu Niskanen picked up where he left off on Friday. On Friday, in the five-kilometer freestyle skiing race, Niskanen won with a difference of 18.5 seconds Krista Pärmäkoski and with a difference of 33.4 seconds Jasmi to Joensuu.

After Friday’s practice, Niskanen admitted that everything was left on the track and that the tight World Cup season that ended the previous weekend weighed heavily.

– The harsh truth is that there have been many competitions and the focus was on the World Cup. I sighed when Sunday was the last race of the World Cup. However, you want to succeed in these and everything is at stake here, but it’s such a pleasure. Don’t worry so much, the satisfied master laughed.

At ten on Saturday, Niskanen widened the gap to the others all the way. At the finish line, he was almost two minutes ahead of Pärmäkoski (+1:43.8).

Johanna Matintalo rose from fifth place to third (+2.05,2). Joensuu was fourth (+2.16.6) and Anne Kyllönen Fifth (+2.22,0).

The national team five had their own numbers when they finished sixth Vilma Nissinen was already four minutes behind the leader.

– It was quite easy, Niskanen laughed, when he was asked how easy it was to keep a distance from the pursuers.

Niskanen elaborated after that:

– It was a nice lead at the start, of course. Such heavy weather and the equipment can also get thrown, so of course you had to go briskly and hope that Krista doesn’t catch seconds. Little by little, it just started to become more different, so good like that.

When Niskas was asked what he thought about his superiority, the skier praised the audience.

– The audience was great, they just shouted and cheered for more gas. They have come here to see our speed, so we had to serve until the very end. Can it be said that I ended up skiing as much as I could because of the audience.

Next is the Easter break, but the domestic skiing season continues even after that in the Finnish Cup in Rovaniemi. Niskanen’s own plans are strongly related to the new home.

Already a year ago, Niskanen said that the holiday plans include building a house. In several interviews, Niskanen has named a detached house as one of the big dreams of his life.

– Let’s go home and start the earthworks. It’s going to be a great summer for sure. If we’re not talking about a sports career, one of the biggest things will come true when you get your own home, Niskanen said last spring.

Now it’s clearly starting to be more ready. Niskanen and this man Juho Mikkonen The Villa Murunen dream house is located in Vuokatti on the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi.

Before the Finnish Cup in Rovaniemi, Niskanen will at least head there.

– Well, the new home will be cleaned and we’ll see if we can go for a run in between. Then to Rovaniemi and then, perhaps as usual, we head to Lapland. Of course, this is already fun, and it’s nice to ski in the spring weather, but I also feel like moving there, Niskanen talked.

Krista Pärmäkoski said that she went into Saturday’s race hard from the start, but quickly saw that the differences between the front and the back are so big that she can calm down a bit.

– I made sure, because tomorrow is an important race, you have to save some energy. At the end, I was able to enjoy the skiing a little bit. Or it was no longer competitive skiing, but enjoyment.

On Sunday, Pärmäkoski stars for the relay team of Ikaalist Athletes.
