The creation process only took a few weeks, but before Van Veldhuizen could get started, she first had to develop an idea. “I was almost completely given carte blanche,” says Van Veldhuizen. “I started with a microphone stand and the colors of the Regional Song Contest. From there I started working with the materials I like to work with.”
