DaVinci Resolve for iPad is finally available on the App Store and is just as capable as its desktop equivalent, as long as you’re using an M1 or M2 iPad Pro. Video editing and color correction application is available in 2GB and has A12 Bionic chipset or newer iPadOS 16 Compatible with iPads and above.
Older iPads won’t get all the features of Resolve and some models may be limited to HD projects. Blackmagic is a for the best experience iPad Pro M1 or M2 recommends using the model. Connecting an external display or editing ProRes footage is exclusive to M1 and M2 iPads.
The Resolve app is tailored to fit the iPad’s touch interface, but you can still connect an external keyboard and mouse if you want a more computer-like experience. Within this app, users will find all the features of the desktop app, including color correction, editing, cloud collaboration, and AI-based magic masks and sound isolation.
iPad users can also import existing DaVinci Resolve 18 projects into the iPad app. Bringing several premium features over the standard app, DaVinci Resolve Studio is available as a one-time in-app purchase of $94.99.
