Filoni has already acted as Executive Vice President in an advisory capacity on many Star Wars projects when he was not involved as director, screenwriter and producer. Now his influence is even greater.

To understand Dave Filoni’s career, we have to go back in time for a moment. Filoni has his Roots in animation. As a director, he was involved in the creation of eight episodes of the fantasy series Avatar – The Lord of the Elements in 2005. Shortly afterwards he joined Lucasfilm to develop the next chapter of the star saga.
The animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the previous film heralded a new Star Wars era at Lucasfilm. Along with George Lucas, Filoni turned out to be one of the leading forces behind the project and rose to become an important figure in Lucasfilm’s animation department.

Together with series creator Jon Favreau, Filoni launched the Mandoverse on Disney+: The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka and soon Skeleton Crew. At the Star Wars Celebration this year it was even announced that Filoni would be his directed his own Star Wars filmwhich brings Mando and Co. to the cinema.
