RATTRAPAGE DU BAC 2022. The baccalaureate remedial oral examination has very specific dates and a sequence. The Internet user tells you more about this final baccalaureate test in 2022, its results and how you can optimize your passage!
[Mis à jour le 4 juillet 2022 à 11h37] The 2022 baccalaureate catch-up takes place in the first half of July (see exact dates here). The candidates in repechage then work on the last two oral tests, those known as the “remedial examination of the baccalaureate” or “second group”. To do this, they can opt for the subjects of their choice. The catch-up session marks the last phase of the baccalaureate, and has the value of a second change for candidates close to the average without having managed to obtain it.
Concretely, the candidates admitted to the second group of the passage of the baccalaureate tests are those having obtained between 8 and 9.9/20 in their first session of the baccalaureate. Their mission? Obtain enough points during the remedial tests to obtain an overall average of 10/20 in terms of baccalaureate mark. Consult our tips for scoring points when resiting the baccalaureate.
A catch-up result that falls in the wake of the event
What about the result of the catch-up? The candidates awaiting the verdict do not, fortunately, have to wait too long: the famous results are delivered in the wake of the test, then officially published in all the academies. All terminal candidates are therefore freed from waiting for the verdict before the weekend and can then begin their summer vacation. Last year, 90.5% of candidates had already passed the exam before the remedial tests. According to the final results, 93.8% of the 732,800 baccalaureate candidates last year ultimatelyso after remedial, officially graduated.
Once published, the remedial results remain available online on each academy’s website until the fall. They can also always be found on Linternaute.com, where they are accessible each year in two clicks via our search engine dedicated to baccalaureate results. All you have to do is fill in your name and the city of passage of your ferry:
The 2022 baccalaureate remedial orals take place in the wake of the results of the first session of the baccalaureate. If this leaves little time to prepare for it, it also allows candidates for the repechage to be more quickly fixed on the rest of their school career. The dates of the next remedial orals are as follows: from Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 July 2022.
At the end of 2021, the Ministry of Education announced new changes to the assessment methods for the exam which marks the end of the secondary cycle. Jean-Michel Blanquer decreed the end of the common tests, called E3C, and readjusted the values of the coefficients according to the subjects. But some things, the majority moreover, do not change and this is the case of the remedial tests. They should therefore take place as usual in the form of oral tests with a maximum of two subjects chosen by the candidate. The scores required to qualify for the second chance offered by the remedial session, namely between 8/20 and 9.99/20, should not change either. As a reminder, the second chance of remedial concerns only the subjects for which the student has passed a final written test: it is therefore philosophy, French and the specialties followed in final. The remedial oral lasts on average 40 minutes: 20 minutes of preparation and 20 minutes of passage.
The key information on how the remedial test works is as follows: it is the best mark between that of the written test and that of the remedial oral examination which is ultimately preserved. If you are a resit candidate, it is therefore generally advisable to choose a test where you obtained a bad mark, in order to optimize your chances of doing better. Another piece of advice: instead of re-reading all of your courses, it is recommended to focus on consulting the subjects of the baccalaureate annals, and in particular the zero subjects of the Ministry of National Education. If you dry up on part of a yearbook, you can then re-read your relevant course sheet diagonally. As for the passage of the oral as such, it is often advisable to be active. Interviewed by CNews, Bertrand Galliot, professor of mathematics and educational director of the school support site The Good Teachers, explains that you should not be afraid “to interact with the examiner, to answer questions, to bounce back”. Managing your preparation time well is also essential. Bertrand Galliot recommends on this point to “make a draft without writing too much”. This consists of writing your plan in broad outline, so that you can go through it at a glance at the time of the presentation: you then know what you are talking about, but without having to read your sheet.
The resit oral results are provided to candidates immediately after the test, which allows everyone to know if they have collected enough points to obtain a baccalaureate. They are then communicated to the rectorate during the day or at the latest the following day. The results are then integrated and can be viewed free of charge on Linternaute.com. To do this, go to our baccalaureate results page in good time.
The remedial oral test in bac pro includes two orals, lasting an average of 30 minutes each.
- During the first oralthe student is questioned about his knowledge and skills in the subjects of the E1 test. Depending on the specialties followed by the candidate, it may be a scientific test, a scientific and technical test, a mathematics or economics-law test.
- the second oral door on theE5 test the candidate’s specialty, in other words the French and history-geography test.
In bac pro, the oral test is marked out of 20, based on the mark out of 10 obtained at the end of each of the two orals mentioned above.
