The return of one of the greatest franchises in the history of video games is imminent with the arrival of the Diablo 4 beta. We tell you everything about this testing period.
Since the late 90s, Diablo has made a name for itself in the popular field of hack’n’slash RPGs. A very special genre, mixing elements of role-playing games with dynamic, rhythmic and brutal combat. Result, a license known throughout the world and games that have since become legendary. Suffice to say that the arrival of Diablo 4, more than nine years after the release of Diablo 3, is a small event in itself. The game is still scheduled for the end of June but will show up in a few days in a beta open to everyone. We will explain everything to you.
When does the Diablo 4 beta start?
As is now often customary with major video game releases, Diablo 4 will experience two separate beta periods. The first will be exclusively open to players who have pre-ordered Diablo 4 in one of its three versions (Standard, Digital Deluxe and Ultimate). Unfortunately, apart from the pre-order, there is no other way in France to join the early access to the beta scheduled for March 17 to 19. For all other players, however, an open beta is scheduled from March 24 to 26. The dates in detail:
- Closed beta (for pre-orders) : March 17 at 5 p.m. to March 19 at 8 p.m.
- Open beta (for everyone) : March 24 at 5 p.m. to March 26 at 8 p.m.
To access the first part of the Diablo 4 beta on March 17, there are not thirty solutions, you will need to have pre-ordered the game on your platform. It will be available on PC via Battle.net, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S but also on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. You can find it at the best price just below. Of course, the game will also be available in a Digital Deluxe version and in an Ultimate version, both including early access to the game’s release next June, a season pass and various cosmetics. You can find them for sale on the official site of the game. On the other hand, everyone will be able to access the open beta of the game on March 24.
What will the content of the Diablo 4 beta be?
Diablo 4 intends to immerse us once again in a brilliant mythological fresco in the heart of Sanctuary, once again addressing the themes of the fight against good and evil now embodied by Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto. During the game’s beta, players will have access to the prologue and its entirety of Act I. Characters will be able to reach level 25 and collect in-game rewards, but will unfortunately be removed when the beta ends on March 26 at 9 p.m.
What classes will we be able to play in the Diablo 4 beta?
During this beta, players will have access to five classes that will be part of the core Diablo 4 experience. The Barbarian, the Druid, the Necromancer, the Thief and the Witch. Well-defined and recurring archetypes in the world of role-playing games and which have also long been the identity of Diablo games. If you want to learn a little more about each of these classes, their skills and their particularities, we invite you to consult our detailed guide of the classes to choose in Diablo 4, just below.
