RATTRAPAGE DU BAC 2022. The retake of the baccalaureate and its results mark the end of the 2022 baccalaureate. Linternaute.com tells you more about its dates and how it works, and gives you advice to optimize its passage.
[Mis à jour le 29 juin 2022 à 11h21] Early July 2022 (see exact dates here), some candidates will take two final oral tests, those of the baccalaureate remedial examination, on the subjects of their choice. The remedial session is the last phase of the baccalaureate, that of the second chance for candidates who have not managed to obtain the average. For candidates admitted to the second group, those who scored between 8 and 9.9/20 in the first session of the baccalaureate, enough points must be scored during the remedial tests to obtain a general average of 10/20 on the whole baccalaureate materials. find our advice to optimize the verdict of the catch-up in this page.
As for the resit results, the candidates concerned fortunately do not wait for them too long, since they are given in the wake of the test, before being officially published in all the academies (it was Friday July 9 at 5 p.m. for the previous edition of the exam). A moment of release for all Terminale students before the weekend and summer vacation. Last year, 90.5% of candidates passed the exam before the remedial tests, then the final results indicated that 93.8% of the 732,800 candidates for the 2021 baccalaureate had officially graduated.
Once the results are published, they remain available online on the sites of each academy until the fall (until October 31 during the previous edition of the baccalaureate, which can give an idea for this edition). They are also always available on Linternaute.com and accessible free of charge and in no time thanks to our search engine dedicated to baccalaureate results. You just have to enter your name and the city in which you passed your baccalaureate.
The 2022 baccalaureate remedial orals take place in the wake of the results of the first session of the baccalaureate. If this leaves little time to prepare for it, it also allows candidates for the repechage to be more quickly fixed on the rest of their school career. The dates of the next remedial orals are as follows: from Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 July 2022.
At the end of 2021, the Ministry of Education announced new changes to the assessment methods for the exam which marks the end of the secondary cycle. Jean-Michel Blanquer decreed the end of the common tests, called E3C, and readjusted the values of the coefficients according to the subjects. But some things, the majority moreover, do not change and this is the case of the remedial tests. They should therefore take place as usual in the form of oral tests with a maximum of two subjects chosen by the candidate. The scores required to qualify for the second chance offered by the remedial session, namely between 8/20 and 9.99/20, should not change either. As a reminder, the second chance of remedial concerns only the subjects for which the student has passed a final written test: it is therefore philosophy, French and the specialties followed in final. The remedial oral lasts on average 40 minutes: 20 minutes of preparation and 20 minutes of passage.
The key information on how the remedial test works is as follows: it is the best mark between that of the written test and that of the remedial oral examination which is ultimately preserved. If you are a resit candidate, it is therefore generally advisable to choose a test where you obtained a bad mark, in order to optimize your chances of doing better. Another piece of advice: instead of re-reading all of your courses, it is recommended to focus on consulting the subjects of the baccalaureate annals, and in particular the zero subjects of the Ministry of National Education. If you dry up on part of a yearbook, you can then re-read your relevant course sheet diagonally. As for the passage of the oral as such, it is often advisable to be active. Interviewed by CNews, Bertrand Galliot, professor of mathematics and educational director of the school support site The Good Teachers, explains that you should not be afraid “to interact with the examiner, to answer questions, to bounce back”. Managing your preparation time well is also essential. Bertrand Galliot recommends on this point to “make a draft without writing too much”. This consists of writing your plan in broad outline, so that you can go through it at a glance at the time of the presentation: you then know what you are talking about, but without having to read your sheet.
The resit oral results are provided to candidates immediately after the test, which allows everyone to know if they have collected enough points to obtain a baccalaureate. They are then communicated to the rectorate during the day or at the latest the following day. The results are then integrated and can be viewed free of charge on Linternaute.com.
