MASTERCHEF 2022. Seven years after its hasty shutdown on TF1, the MasterChef culinary competition returns to France 2 in 2022 with a new jury and amateur candidates ready to do battle.
It took seven years for the MasterChef show to come out of the closet. In 2015, the show was deprogrammed from TF1 to finish its broadcast on NT1 before the channel announced that the culinary program would not return to its antennas in the future. Here we are in 2022, a year marked by the nostalgic return of certain brands including Star Academy, and MasterChef is trying its luck again, but this time on France 2! The culinary competition therefore passes on to the public service, led for the occasion by Agathe Lecaron (La Maison des Maternelles). The fundamentals of the show have not changed: it is about putting amateur cooks and cooks to the test against professional jurors. End goal? Win the final and pocket a check for €100,000.
To launch its return to entertainment, France 2 is counting on MasterChef 2022. Indeed, the public service channel has announced that its culinary competition will be broadcast every Tuesday evening from Tuesday, August 23, 2022 and this from 9:10 p.m.

The MasterChef 2022 jury has been partly redesigned for the occasion of this return. Each week, MasterChef candidates will have to deal with three starred chefs who will judge their performances. Already present in four of the previous seasons, chef YVes Camdeborde is back in front of the cameras of MasterChef. He is accompanied for the first time by chefs Thierry Marx, who is more accustomed to the Top Chef sets, and Georgiana Viou. This year, the candidates will also have to compete in inventiveness to impress the guest chefs who have come to evaluate them on specific challenges. France 2 revealed the list of these prestigious guests: Christian Constant, Frédéric Anton, Alessandra Montagne, Simone Zanoni, Emeline Aubry, Olivier Bellin, Fanny Rey, Pierre Augé, Mory Sacko, Christophe Michalak and Eric Briffard.
