The magazine has gone through posts published on the Discord platform. According to The New York Times has a profile, which matches the associated Teixeira, shared information on the chat forum since shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began last February.
Classified information must also have been shared in a larger chat group with around 600 members, the newspaper writes. Previously, it has emerged that Teixeira spread classified information in a much smaller group consisting of around thirty people.
In the larger chat group, the newspaper has found information that, among other things, concerns injured and killed soldiers on both sides, as well as information about the Russian intelligence service. Information from the US intelligence service CIA is also said to have been published in the group.
Whether the US authorities have been aware of this is unclear, neither the Department of Justice nor the federal police FBI want to comment on the information.
Teixeira was arrested last week and is suspected of leaking more than a hundred classified documents, information he had access to in his job with the Massachusetts military reserve force.
