This year, the Dark team returns with a lavish international production: 1899 promises a dark mystery adventure and we have the first trailer for the new Netflix series for you.

What’s the new series from the Dark team on Netflix about?
In 1899, when large numbers of Europeans left their continent for a better life, a steamship full of migrants set sail for the new world. The passengers of different origins carry their last belongings as well as hopes for a better future. However, when they encounter another migrant ship on their journey that was reported missing. Because, according to the series’ official synopsis, what they find on board turns their journey into a horrifying nightmare.

When is 1899 coming to Netflix?
1899 is supposed to Fall or Winter 2022 to Netflix come. The series consists of eight episodes. The cast includes Emily Beecham (Cruella) and Andreas Pietschmann (Dark). Incidentally, during the shoot, Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar used a so-called volume set, which was already used in The Mandalorian as an alternative to the usual green screen.
