Darkino has just given way to DarkiWorld. The famous French site which offers pirated content for download and streaming is getting a makeover with numerous improvements and obvious ambitions.
Darkino regulars were treated to a funny surprise this Wednesday, June 19, 2024. By visiting the famous pirate site, they were greeted by a simple text message informing them of a radical transformation and referring them to DarkiWorld, its new substitute. Without giving much explanation on the reasons for this change, the platform administrators promise a modernized interface, with more intuitive navigation and a refined design, enriched content and more advanced functions. A complete overhaul for a site which has already undergone several developments and transformations since its surprise arrival by “officially” taking over from the famous Tirexo and its short-lived successors – PapaFlix and Palixi – at the end of 2022 (see our article).
Already operational, DarkiWorld actually sports a cleaner interface than that of Darkino, with, as always, a curious mix of French and English. The main page offers a selection of new releases in the form of large thumbnails, with notes, while a list of categories is displayed at the top, as a menu (Films, Series, Anime, Games, Apps, Music, Ebooks, etc.). Come on Darkino, we also have a search engine and various filters to refine queries with numerous parameters.
Each content offered has its own descriptive sheet, like streaming platforms or sites like AlloCiné, with, for example for films, the year of release, distribution, a summary, a video extract, etc. Unlike Darkino, the download links are not immediately visible: you must click on the Watch now button to discover a streaming viewing mode but also links to the usual file hosting services (Darkibox, the platform “home”, 1File, Turbobit, etc.).
We still do not know how long DarkiWorld will resist the attacks of rights holders who will not fail to demand banning and blocking measures as was recently the case for many pirate sites (see our article). But, for now, everything suggests that business is going well for this platform which now serves as a reference in France for fans of illegal downloading and streaming.
