Frostpunk 2 is an apocalyptic building game in which players are responsible for the survival of a city. To achieve this, tough decisions have to be made. Its predecessor, Frostpunk, has a 92% positive rating on Steam. A gameplay trailer shows the dark atmosphere of the game.

What kind of game is this? Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to the dark building game from 11 bit studios. While in the first part you were responsible for the survival of a small group of people, now, 30 years later, you control the fate of a growing metropolis in the role of the magistrate.

Above all, you have one goal that you should never lose sight of: the city must not go under. Even if you sometimes have to make difficult decisions.

Frostpunk 2 was announced in 2021 and is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2024. According to the press release, it will be available in PC Game Pass from day one and will also be playable in Xbox Game Pass with the Xbox launch. With the first gameplay trailer, the developers are now showing first impressions of the game.

What kind of trailer is this? The first full gameplay trailer for Frostpunk 2 impresses with a dark, downright oppressive atmosphere. The residents present their concerns to the magistrate almost like a prayer, but the mood quickly changes.

Because the magistrate cannot please everyone and the desperation of the citizens when there is not enough work and food for everyone can soon turn into anger. The trailer ends with a burning city.

The pressure the player will be under is already clear in the trailer – and that seems to be really well received by the fans. About an hour after publication, the trailer has more than 6,000 likes – with just 5,400 views (as of 4:35 p.m., via YouTube). There may be a technical explanation for this, but the potential players also appear positive in the comments:
