The trial was restarted because, after lengthy deliberations in December, the jury failed to agree on a decision on the issue of guilt.
Masterson was accused of raping three women, including a longtime girlfriend, in Hollywood between 2001 and 2003. According to prosecutors, he drugged the women before raping them.
According to the court, Masterson evaded justice for decades by exploiting his prominent role in the church where the three women were also members.
The “That 70’s Show” star was led from the courtroom in handcuffs and faces up to 30 years in prison.
