Fifa banned the captain’s armband with the message “One Love” during the World Cup and threatened to give the players who might wear it a yellow card.
Denmark’s team captain Simon Kjaer has previously expressed his displeasure with the decision – but now he has too Danish Football Association chairman Jesper Möller has had his say.

There have been many twists and turns around the “One Love” captain’s armband, and it doesn’t seem to be over yet. Denmark’s team captain Simon Kjaer directed strong criticism at Fifa and believes that they should be held accountable.

And on Wednesday, the Danish camp called an extraordinary press conference, where the president of the Danish Football Association Jesper Moller agreed with the criticism – and quite a lot.

Like Simon Kjaer and many with him, Möller directed strong criticism at Fifa and their decision to ban the rainbow colored captain’s armband.
– We are not among the countries that support Gianni Infantino as Fifa president next year, says Möller according to Ekstrabladet.
– We have to react now. What has happened is unacceptable. We will get a clarification on a legal level.
Danish anger
Seven countries, including Denmark, have contacted Fifa before the start of the championship and announced that they will use the “One Love” captain’s armband without receiving any response.

But just before the premiere of the World Cup, information came that players wearing the armband will be punished with a yellow card. Something that has upset not least Jesper Möller.
– We are in an extraordinary situation. I’m not just disappointed. I’m angry. I have never experienced anything like this, says Möller.

Ekstrabladet also writes that Denmark’s general secretary believes that it was the least punishment they could suffer. This since there have been rumors that players may also be punished with suspension if they use the rainbow colored bandage.
