A person in Denmark won 120 million euros, equivalent to just over 1.2 billion Swedish kronor, in Friday’s Eurojackpot draw, according to a press release from Svenska Spel.

The win breaks the previous record for the Eurojackpot from May 20 this year, when a jackpot equivalent to SEK 1.1 billion went to Germany.

The records have come since the cap on the jackpot was raised at the end of March.

“It’s completely crazy,” says Malene Mølgaard, CEO of Danske Spil, in a press release according to the Ritzau news agency.

“We have been waiting anxiously for it to happen, and now it finally happened. A big congratulations from us,” she continues.

The winner has not yet been contacted.
