The group stage and the main round have been completed and Sweden has won all six matches so far during the handball WC at home. After the opening matches in Gothenburg, games in the capital Stockholm now await the Swedish part.
Sweden’s advantage
On Wednesday, the quarter-final against Egypt awaits, and if they win, the semi-final will then take place on Friday. Now several critical voices are being raised that the host nation Sweden is favored before the decision in the World Cup, as Blue Yellow is the only team that knows where it can play its semi-final.

As one semi-final is played in Stockholm and the other in Polish Gdansk, it can lead to big problems for the other teams. It is already clear that Sweden will play in Stockholm if they reach the World Cup semi-finals, but the other countries will have to wait until all the quarter-finals before the venue is known.

Danish anger

Denmark faces Hungary in the quarter-finals in Stockholm and Norway plays Spain in Gdansk. The Norwegians pick on the Danes and are really angry at this arrangement and call it “completely absurd”.
