Over the weekend, the 30-year-old impressed with the year’s second best throw in the entire world. Ståhl pulled off a huge throw of 70.93 m and won Sollentuna’s GP by far.

On Tuesday evening, it was time again for new success by the “Man of Steel”, as he is known. The 30-year-old again managed to reach over 70 meters and won the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland.

Inappropriate question
The reason for the reawakening has several different reasons. During 2023, Ståhl has changed coaches from Vesteinn Hafsteinsson to Staffan Jonsson and also moved from Växjö to Malmö.
– I lived in Växjö for over 10 years. I have now lived in Malmö for three months and it feels like a very good city. Malmö is a bit like Turku, a sports city, says the Swede according to the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat and admits that he is also popular in his new hometown.
– Every day I am stopped by people on the street who want an autograph or take pictures.

At the beginning of the year, it was also announced that Daniel Ståhl and the shot putter Fanny Roos have become a love couple. They now live and train together in Malmö.

During the press conference in Finland, the discus thrower was also asked about his relationship with his girlfriend Fanny, but then Ståhl reacted with clear irritation to the inappropriate question and refused to answer.
– I’m only going to talk about sports, he says firmly according to the Finnish newspaper and would rather talk about his grandmother who still lives in Turku.
– It belongs to the journey. She comes and checks when I throw. But I will leave from Turku immediately after the competition.
