On Monday evening, Sweden offered the medal jump Daniel Ståhl on unbeatable, blue-yellow sports history. When the highly dramatic discus final at the Athletics World Championships left no Swede untouched.
Ståhl’s gold
With his last throw, Ståhl needed to reach over 70 meters to win WC gold, and he was really under pressure. Then he showed his great potential and with raw power mixed with technique he pulled the discus over 71 meters to win the gold medal and also set a new championship record.

Since then, there has been Ståhl fever in our elongated country and the tributes have been great for the 30-year-old who is now mentioned as one of the candidates for the Bragdguldet. Everyone has wanted to talk to the great Swede and we have to say that TV4 has done the most beautiful interview.

– Good question. Hockey. I had been a heavy defender in the SHL, he says in the interview on X (formerly Twitter).
