Daniel Craig just played his Knives Out character in an entire Bond scene – incredible video proves it

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, like its predecessor Knives Out, has become a big hit. This is not least due to Daniel Craig’s quirky private detective and main character Benoit Blanc. It was apparently already in James Bond times too good to just leave him in his own film. There 007 confronts his nemesis Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) with his own plans. But gestures, facial expressions and rhetoric don’t seem to fit Craig’s ruggedly impulsive Bond at all.

Much more the British secret agent gets muddled, interrupts himself, grins as he formulates his own observations, stretching the vowels of his British accent precariously overseas. It looks like a passage from a monologue by Knives Out hero Blanc.

In terms of timing, this is not entirely surprising. After all, became the first Knives Out movie shot in late 2018, No Time To Die should follow directly. Although the 007 adventure had to be postponed by a few months, the aftermath of the Netflix hit and the preparations for the spy action may still have mixed up in Craig’s mind. It’s not a flaw. There can never be enough of Benoit Blanc.
