Dangerous object rendered harmless in Trelleborg

Police were called to the address on Sunday morning after an object was found outside the gate. Residents in the Sockerbiten area were asked to stay indoors during the morning.

The police’s National Bomb Squad was sent to the scene. At 12 o’clock the police announced that the small object was sharp, which has now been rendered harmless.

The police cordons have been reduced and now cover a smaller area which is to undergo a technical examination. Residents who were previously housed can now leave their homes.

A notification of attempted public destruction has been drawn up to investigate the circumstances.

A VMA went out to residents to stay indoors and away from windows until the bomb shelter neutralized the object.
