(Finance) – d’Amico Tankers DAC (Ireland), operating subsidiary of d’Amico International Shippinga leading international company in maritime transport, specializing in the tanker market, has acquired 100% control of Glenda International Shipping through the redemption of the shares owned by Topley Corporation, in the JV, for a consideration of 27.4 million dollars.
Prior to the transaction, Topley owned a 50% stake in Glenda International Shipping.
Before proceeding with the redemption of the shares – explains a note – the bank debts relating to the Ships have been fully repaid. However, “d’Amico Tankers intends to acquire the Ships from Glenda and is already at an advanced stage in discussions with some of its major lending banks in order to support this operation”.
