Dahmer replacement with shocking ax murder based on true story

Netflix’ Dahmer – Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer proved once again that the True crime genre more popular than ever is. German fans can now look for supplies on another streaming service.

All five episodes of the Candy: Death in Texas mini-series are now available for subscription on Disney+. The production over one shocking, real-life murder case trumps above all with an extremely transformed Jessica Biel.

Disney+ true crime series Candy is about real-life ax murder

Jessica Biel stars as the main character Candy Montgomery, who built an exemplary life for herself in the 80s with a successful husband, two children and a beautiful house. Nevertheless, she loses more and more control due to the pressure to adapt more and more to external expectations. Until it becomes one fatal event comes.

Much like Dahmer, the series is based on a real person and the murder she eventually committed. After its US launch in March, all five episodes of the series have since aired November 9th available in Germany from Disney+ as a subscription.

In addition to Jessica Biel, Candy also stars Melanie Lynskey, Timothy Simons, Pablo Schreiber and Raúl Esparza, among others.
