The House is located at the Veilinghaven, near the restored Villa Jongerius, the Statenjacht and the converted sand funnels. According to D66, this is a historically valuable place, where the gardener’s house fits in well. “It is nice if we can continue to see the history of the place in the future, but this does not necessarily have to be done by preserving the entire house. It is also possible with part of it, such as a facade,” says Maarten Koning. He thinks something like this has an educational function, to show what this part of Utrecht once looked like.
