D66 wants less dog tax and dog daycare for working

The debate was put on the agenda by D66 councilor Nadia Stylianou, herself the owner of a four-legged friend, the dachshund Lou. She wrote a piece that should serve as a basis for the debate. “A dog is not only a companion animal within the family, but also an important link in broader society,” her document reads. “Dog ownership promotes social interaction; people come into contact with each other more quickly when walking their dogs, which contributes to social cohesion in neighborhoods.”
