Cyclist Casper van der Woude will become semi-pro with semi-professional team Metec-Solarwatt on 3 July. The rider from Westbroek has been riding for the club team Jan van Arkel from Meerkerk since 2021 and this year he was in the spotlight with several semi-pro teams, the so-called continental teams. That is the third highest division in cycling. “Almost every conti team in the Netherlands was interested. I hoped to make the switch next year, but I didn’t expect that to happen already.”.
