A cyclist has been hit by a truck on county road 205 in Askersund.
– It is a very serious accident, says police spokesperson Sofia Jiglind.
SOS Alarm was alerted on Friday afternoon and sent both the rescue service, ambulance and police to the area of Stjärnsund in Askersund after a cyclist and truck collided.
– The person cycled on the road and was then hit by the truck, says police spokesperson Sofia Jiglind.
Unclear what happened
The police do not have any information about the person’s gender or age. What has caused the accident is too early for the police to say, but they are now investigating how it might have happened.

One lane will be kept open on county road 205 where other traffic can pass alternately.
