Cycling: Tadej Pogacar took home the Tour de France – finishing with his sixth stage win

Slovenian Tadej Pogacar has been brilliant throughout the Tour de France. On Sunday evening, the competition concluded with the final stage between Monaco and Nice over 33.7 km.

The conditions were simple: Pogacar was five minutes and 14 seconds ahead of the Dane Jonas Vingegaard and, in other words, it would take a lot for the Slovenian to lose his lead.

Above all, Pogacar has finished this year’s edition strongly as he has won the last two stages. The 25-year-old was not satisfied there when he also took home the last stage – ahead of overall second-place finisher Jonas Vingegaard.

– I cannot describe how happy I am – after two difficult years in the Tour de France. I’m speechless, it’s unbelievable. It’s the first tour where I feel confident every day, he says after the competition.
