Cycling: final victory for Frenchman Benjamin Thomas at the Etoile de Bessèges

French Benjamin Thomas (Cofidis) won the 52nd Etoile de Bessèges cyclist on Sunday February 6 at the end of the 5th and last stage, a time trial (10.645 km) on the heights of Alès (Gard). Benjamin Thomas won the general classification with 16 seconds ahead of the Italian Alberto Bettiol (EF Education EasyPost) and 32 seconds over the Norwegian Tobias Johannessen (Uno-X) who had won the 4th stage on Saturday, returning to a few seconds French. This final time trial was won by the Italian Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers). Benjamin Thomas succeeds Belgian Tim Wellens on the list.
