Cybersecurity, Mef, Acn and Consip sign memorandum of understanding

(Finance) – Strengthen cooperation in the field of IT security, with particular reference to the protection of the national e-procurement system. With this objective the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and Consip SpA have signed a memorandum of understanding. “An agreement – ​​explains the MEF in a note – which is more necessary and urgent than ever in view of the entry into force of the rules on the digitalisation of the entire life cycle of public contracts. A process in which the e-commerce platform takes on central importance. procurement of the MEF, managed by Consip SpA, qualified as ‘critical infrastructure of national interest'”.

The priority objective of the protocol is support from ACN in the development of strategies for the best protection of the e-procurement system and the entire information assets of Consip SpA., adopting adequate measures to prevent and mitigate security incidents, in conjunction with the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) Italy.

Furthermore, the collaboration extends to exchange of data, information, cybersecurity analysis, to acquire useful elements for the overall increase in the safety levels of the Public Administration, with particular reference to the planning of tender initiatives within the PA purchasing rationalization program

The agreement, of crucial importance for the security of the Public Administration and the entire country system, was signed between the CEO of Consip SpA, Marco Mizzauthe Director General of the MEF, Susanna La Cecilia and ACN General Manager, Pref. Bruno Frattasi.
