Sales Success of Cyberpunk 2077

According to the game’s fiscal year earnings report, CDPR’s revenues increased significantly with the contributions of Cyberpunk 2077 and its new expansion pack, Phantom Liberty. Despite experiencing a decline in 2021, with the launch of Phantom Liberty, sales increased in 2022 and nearly doubled in 2023. CDPR stated that, compared to The Witcher series, revenues from Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty DLC contributed greatly to the company’s 2022 and 2023 revenues. Additionally, in CDPR’s financial report, it was shared that 403 of the 627 developers working on the upcoming trilogy of The Witcher series, called “Project Polaris”, were involved in this project.

Celebrating this huge success, CDPR announced a free trial of Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, launching on March 28. Although the five-hour trial does not include Phantom Liberty, players who purchase the game will have their progress carried over to the full version. Gamers should be ready for a massive download of 99.3GB on PS5 and 103GB on Xbox Series X/S. This free trial will run until April 1.
