In a written statement from the Norwegian government, it was stated that 12 ministries, which were attacked by cyber attacks, did not have access to e-mail or other mobile services due to the security measures taken.
Sigbjorn Gjelsvik, Minister of Local Governments and Regional Development, said in a press release that they “take the cyberattacks seriously”.
Gjelsvik reported that the Norwegian Government Security and Service Unit (DSS) is closely monitoring the situation and taking measures.
DSS President Erik Hope said it was “too early to talk about who was behind the attack and its extent”.
There have been previous cyberattacks against the Norwegian government. (AA)
