The company Tomra, which, among other things, provides pawn machines, has been exposed to an extensive cyber attack that was discovered on Sunday morning. The attack has affected some of their computer systems. In order to stop the attack and mitigate the consequences, certain systems were therefore disconnected, which affected deposit machines, the company writes in a press release.
The company has deposit machines in countries in Europe, Asia and North America, which were also affected by the cyber attack.
The majority started again
The models of pawn machines that are disconnected from the company’s system after the attack are shut down when the memory is full. The company is now working on being able to get the machines up and running and connect them again.
The majority of the deposit machines that the company owns in Sweden should be up and running again on Wednesday, the company writes in an email that SVT Nyheter has seen. It is unclear how many are still affected by problems.
