SEK 200,000 in seized money literally went up in smoke. Now an employee at the Customs Agency is being prosecuted at the Helsingborg District Court on suspicion of misconduct, reports P4 Malmöhus.

The employee must have handled the money incorrectly by, among other things, having received it alone and put it in unmarked bags. It resulted in the money being transported to a recycling station and accidentally burned.

The accused denies the crime.
