When popular companies launch new flavors, it can make or break.
A good example of that was when Marabou released a new flavor in the middle of summer. It all started when they changed the look of their packaging at the beginning of 2024, with the ambition that it would be easier for customers to distinguish between the different flavors.

Some time later, they released a new coffee and digestive flavored chocolate bar, and customers didn’t mind.
What caused many to react, however, was the choice of name Movienight.

Customer reaction: “Strange name”
Several of the customers felt that coffee and cake do not belong in movie nights, then there should have been chips or other snacks in the chocolate cake instead. And the reactions – they could not be expected.
Here are some of the reactions in the comments section:
“It sounded good. But strange name for that taste in my opinion”
“Yes, afternoon coffee would have been more appropriate”

And Marabou aren’t the only ones to release a new flavor that has caused a stir.
No, because if customers were skeptical about the name choice Movienight – then there was no objection when Abba came out with its new herring flavor for 2024.
It made many frown, and several even thought the news was a belated April Fool’s joke.

“Crimes Against Humanity”

“Crimes Against Humanity”

“Damn this must be a joke”
“Like mustard but this didn’t sound that good”
“Enough because society is the way it is in many ways, but do you have to make it worse for it?”
Here is Abba’s new herring flavor in 2024
What does herring taste like? Called caviar.
“Now two of Sweden’s most classic brands are getting married. To celebrate Kalles Kaviar’s 70th anniversary, Abba and Kalles Kaviar are making a unique collaboration and launching a Kalles herring,” writes Abba on its website.
This is how they describe the taste:
“Abba Kalle’s herring has a mild smokiness and just the right amount of saltiness that is balanced by the creamy sauce and the small grains of rum and is perfect for both breakfast and parties.”
