Galaxy AI launched in early 2024.
Features include AI tools that can translate conversations in real time, summarize text and write news summaries.
In October, it received support for Swedish and now most Samsung Galaxy users have access.
But so far, Samsung’s AI effort doesn’t seem to have impressed users.

Samsung users were not impressed
A new study, carried out by the mobile company Sellcell, shows that a full 87 percent of the surveyed Samsung users think that Galaxy AI is not very valuable.
The majority of users also believe that AI basically adds nothing to their mobile usage and that it is also not an important factor for them when purchasing a mobile phone.

Can start charging
Samsung has previously hinted that it may start charging for its AI services starting in 2026. But in the study, a paltry 6.5 percent of users say they would actually be willing to pay.
It remains to be seen if Samsung’s new update One UI 7 – which has a big focus on AI – can make Samsung users change their mind.

The study also asked iPhone users about their views on Apple Intelligence. There, the result also looks negative. Namely, 73 percent stated that they do not appreciate the new AI functions.
Apple Intelligence will come to Swedish devices in April 2025.
The study’s results are based on an internet survey sent out between November 28 and December 6, 2024.
Just over 2,000 US mobile users, of which approximately 1,000 own a Samsung Galaxy mobile and approximately 1,000 own an iPhone, participated in the study.
