Custody hearing about the murder in Skogås

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A 15-year-old boy is detained on probable cause on suspicion of the murder of a boy of the same age in Skogå’s center in Huddinge south of Stockholm on January 28.

The 15-year-old denies the crime and disputes responsibility, according to defense lawyer Björn Sandin, who now hopes that his client will be held in conditions similar to juvenile detention.

– At the moment, they have not had time to investigate those possibilities, but it is very important that they try to find such a place, so that he does not have to be in the custody environment, says Björn Sandin.

– It is clear that he is not feeling well. He is staying in a prison environment for the first time in his life. He feels very bad but is still mentally strong. But it’s only at the beginning of a long process, so we’ll see how it develops, he says.

The prosecutor believes that an alternative placement for the boy is not appropriate.

– At the moment, I believe that there is no other type of grading supervision that can be an alternative, says chamber prosecutor Ida Arnell.

16-year-old is suspected of protecting a criminal

The 16-year-old boy who is suspected of failing to disclose a crime and protecting a criminal was also detained on Sunday afternoon.

A 17-year-old is already in custody on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder.
