– Great personal courage and deep journalistic knowledge of the Aktuellt editorial team is behind this award, says Charlotta Friborg, program director and responsible publisher for SVT Nyheter.
The justification read: “With an entire editorial staff on their toes, they use all their skills and all their resources to give a multifaceted and broad picture of the war’s consequences and tragedy in a live broadcast from wartime Ukraine.” The award was accepted by Aktuellt’s Nike Nylander and Jeanette Larsson.
When asked what it was like to broadcast live from Kiev, Nike Nylander answers:
– The most striking thing was that everyone I met, even though they might have lost their legs or were paralyzed, they had this will to fight for their country.
