Curling: Team Hasselborg slipped past after a Norwegian miss in the last stone

– We had control sometimes and sometimes definitely not. We managed to figure out how to play and it showed on the scoreboard, says Anna Hasselborg in the SVT Sports broadcast.

Sweden had a tough match and after a miss in the last stone in the seventh round they were down 3-5, got up to 5-5 to be down 5-6 before the last round. There, Sweden had three stones in the nest when Norway put its last stone too short and Sweden didn’t even have to hit its last stone – when they were 3-0 in the round and could win 8-6.

Rival meeting with Switzerland tonight

– You understand this joy. For a long time it was a weak match by Sweden before they turned around at the end, says SVT Sports commentator Niklas Nord.

– I was so full of adrenaline, Sarah McManus exclaimed immediately after the victory.

Tonight at 18.00 Switzerland awaits in a rival meeting.

– We knew it would be a tough day with first Norway and then Switzerland. Winning against Norway definitely gave us confidence for the game tonight, says Anna Hasselborg.
