Launching its first original project through Formentor during the exit process from Seat, Cupra has become one of the most successful names of the Volkswagen Group with the steps it has taken in recent years. The most important move on the electrification side of the new formation, which doubled its sales in 2022 compared to the previous year, is now stands before us. Cupra Tavascan, which we met for the first time in 2019 in Frankfurt through its concept form, will be one of the original models of the brand after Formentor and Born. The serial production form of Tavascan, which comes with coupe SUV lines, reveals a character with an aggressiveness that can not be compared to the concept.

When evaluated within the group, we can say that Tavascan has similar dynamics with names such as Volkswagen ID.5 and Audi Q4 e-tron. The double electric motor version, which will be positioned on top of this package that comes with rear-wheel drive, will serve users with 335 horsepower and 679 Nm torque. According to the data shared through official channels, the best 0-100 value of the product range will be 5.6 seconds through this package called VZ. Adaptive chassis control and sporty steering system to be positioned in Tavascan are among the important supporters of the vehicle in operation.

Since the Cupra car is at the center of our subject, our eyes are undoubtedly looking for performance data at the first stage. Tavascan, which is announced to be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 77 kWh as standard, can offer a range of 550 kilometers in its single electric motor version. With the high-performance combination, this figure is given as 520 kilometers. The battery, which offers fast charging support up to 135 kW, can be brought from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. Cupra will offer the façade heat pump to the users as an option. The European sales process of the product range, which will be produced in China, will begin in 2024.
