Culture Days on the Trails seeks artists and performers

Artists wishing to take part in Culture Days on the Trails are invited to submit applications to the City of Brantford.

Culture Days – a national celebration of arts and culture – involves free in-person and online events designed to highlight their in our community.

Culture Days on the Trails takes place Saturday, September 23, from 10 am to 1 pm with a rain date on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Singers, dancers, painters, musicians, theater performers, poets and spoken word artists are to be stationed along the walking trail from Hardy Road to Lafayette Avenue that runs behind the Brantford Golf and Country Club, and Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant.

The public can walk the 2.6-kilometre trail and enjoy the artists exhibiting their talents.

“We’re very excited to host Culture Days on the Trails and showcase the amazing talent that we have here in Brantford,” said Adrienne Briggs, arts and culture coordinator at the City of Brantford. “Culture Days promotes inclusivity, awareness, participation and engagement in arts and culture for all Canadians.”

Artists will be paid $150 for their three-hour performance time, and the deadline to apply is July 26.
