According to the lawsuit, the woman had met Gooding Jr. at a restaurant in Manhattan and then accompanied him to his hotel. There he persuaded her to accompany him up to his room “so he could change his clothes”, where she claimed to have been raped twice by the Oscar-winning “Jerry Maguire” star.
Cuba Gooding Jr. has claimed through his lawyers that their actions were consensual.
Gooding Jr. is known from films such as “Boyz n the Hood”, “Men of Honor” and “Jerry Maguire”, for which he was awarded an Oscar for best supporting actor in 1997. He has been accused by some thirty women of groping in the last decade and sexually assaulted them.
